I think the illuminating liquids will be highlighters, so for cheeks and brow bone, to add a glow and highlight those parts of the face.
I personally love them at the moment

P.7 of the Gift guide - about the 3 for 2 offer - has a footnote which says:

I'm wary of raising people's hopes too much - as I have no idea what Boots are planning to do - but that might be of interest to people.

Hi, if you look on youtube there's lots of videos on how to use them. If you search for high beam, that should take you to the benefit version but its very similar x

Hearing about the smashbox offer reminded me i had a sample sachet of the primer so i tried it tonight, and i'm actually quite impressed! i didn't think anything would come close to porefessional but i think i actually prefer the smashbox.

POREfessional is my number, but this Smashbox is what I'm using now I've run out! The lipgloss& mascara are brilliant too )

It has swiftly become a part of a tradition so hope they keep them coming on half price deals lol she is only 22 and adores the fashion side of life but raves about this make up so happy to oblige at that price she says the mascara is the best she has ever used and only face product that doesn't irritate her skin so win win for sure..

so the smasbox try it kit will be less than a tenner from tomorrow? I know the Smashbox set is sample sizes, but I was thinking about getting the Benefit They're real steal set as part of her pressie for my DD, she reckons the Benefit They're real mascara is the best one on sale at the moment.
Has anyone tried both the Benefit They're real, and the Smashbox mascara? How do they compare?

They definitely don't compare.
They're Real is the best for volume and lift, Smash box isn't as amazing.
But the smashbox kit comes with a few minis, that's why I'm getting it

My teenage daughters love benefit products and they and friends always claim the Benefit bad lash mascara and eye liner is the best as is their primer. Yo can sometimes get Benefit products reduced on ASOS and Debenhams. I wouldn't get the smashbox as although never tried it, if they like Benefit they will not be happy with other brands I have found.
