    Yes, but how fit and healthy have those people been in their old age? I know people who have done very little exercise and lived to a ripe old age, but have many health problems and don't really have the best quality of life.
    Of course over exercising to the point that you wear away your joints is going to be bad for you, but doing Insanity or a weight lifting programme isn't going to damage your health.

    Moderation is key. If you're doing weights you need to give your body time to recover, some people spend far too long in the gym in the belief that more is better. Cardio can be done more often, but can be hard on joints etc too.
