I'm buying from a family who have no onward chain, and I've had my mtg accepted in principle, with mortgage valuation expected within 10 days. Then official offer, my searches are underway already too.
Being Mr Impatient, realistically how soon can I expect to move please? (No hiccups permitting)

Straight to the top of my Christmas card list0 -
8 - 12 weeks. Longer if there's even the slightest hiccup or you have a slow solicitor/estate agent. Which is pretty likely as I've heard way too many horror stories.0

We took abut 4 months between mortgage offer and moving in.
This was with FTB buying our house and the person we were buying from having already moved in with his partner.0 -
Our offer was accepted 23rd June and we do not complete/move until 6th October.
We was hoping for a quick process but that rarely happens. Don't set your sights on moving in the "said" 8 weeks and more than likely it wont happen.0 -
