Correspondence Address for Paypal

Options
Hi

Has anyone got the address for Paypal, please? (Got in the back of my mind its in Ireland??)

They are not responding to emails and I have already wasted loads on non-productive phone calls to them.

ScorpioLady - have you "just" emailed them or gone a step further?

I had a fairly nasty dispute with them (they locked a transfer from myself to my wife because we were using the same computer which was in the US at the time, well, so was I; Took ages to unravel) and after wasting a lot of time on phonecalls (including one from my mobile from the US - that smarted a bit), I asked one of their phone people for their complaints procedure as they're FSA regulated and he had just told me that there was no way to talk to the people who actually resolve the problems.

Following his advice I raised a dispute against Paypal using the normal Paypal dispute functions. This finally got the problem sorted within a few days, even though I never got a response to the second pat of my complaint, which was what they intended to do about the fact that they had denied both me and my wife access to our money for almost three weeks and caused considerable problems because I then had to dip into my overdraft to give my wife the same amount of money in cash as she wouldn't have been able to pay her bills otherwise...

  • I have started a email resolution with them, to which there was no response.

My account was 'hijacked' to the tune of £2K, (the first I knew was a debt collection agency phoning me!!!) with getting no response to my resolution request I phoned, after 30 minutes (on national rate phone number) they agreed the debt was not mine and 10 days later credited my account to nil.

However they have 'forgotten' to tell the collection agency who are harrassing me with phone calls and letters threatening court action. This has really upset me and I feel a written complaint to paypal is justified.

Following more phone calls, I am considerably out of pocket for what they admit is no fault of my own.

Harassment for debt is illegal in this country. Firstly write a recorded letter to the debt collectors telling them to cease and desist. If they continue to harass you call the police. Its pointless arguing with the debt collectors about the debt (they won't beleive you and don't care, all they want is your money). Instead write to the paypal address I've given you above telling them the circumstances. Then write to the FSO www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk and raise hell there. Paypal really are the scum of the earth.
