BG Complaint help

Hi
In brief, I made a complaint to British Gas, who have acknowledged an error on their part and today I got sick of waiting for their complaints handler to ring me back with an update. So today i phoned them, again, to find out whats going on, only to be told that the complaint had been closed down and in their eyes resolved. This was news to me and im certainly not satisfied with the outcome, nevermind agreeing to have to complaint closed down.
That said, What is the next port of call if I cant get my complaint dealt with? the ombudsman?
general help and advice much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

To have integrity means that you don't agree with everyone you meet, nor do you succumb to pressure to be something that is in direct conflict with your core ethics.

Probably the ombundsman yes.
I find it a bit strange that they have closed down the complaint and considered it resolved though....I would hazard a guess that this means that either your complaint is silly and not worth investigating (thus them feeling that they have met their requirements), or because you got a newer member of staff who doesn't know much. I would possibly ring them up and request a manager if you haven't already done so.
If they have closed down the claim and considerfed it resolve I would assume that they were confident enough that you didn't have any recourse, but of course I don't know the particulars of your complaint, nor am I the correct person you should be speaking to regarding this0 -
