  • Hi mybaz welcome. When you say "my ex will not give me an address to send the claim forms to" what do you mean? Do you mean their address or the bank's address?
  • Do you mean their address or the bank's address?
I expect "mybaz" wants their ex's address because the potential complaint was a joint account and so requires both signatures in order to proceed.
Unfortunately, unless both parties co-operate any complaint will stall.

Message them on FB or via mutual friends, point out that you may get a cash payout split between you (make sure they are aware the bank should send out 2 payments for a joint one, not put it into just one account) and you will do the work - if they're determined to not get that money then not much you can do.

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
