We're supporting the Soil Association's move in Organic September to encourage households to make one small change to their shopping habits in order to make a big difference to animal welfare and the environment.

Small changes, big differences

The Soil Association believe that making a small change to organic can make a surprisingly large difference:
If twenty families switch to organic milk, another cow will be free to range on clover rich organic pastures;
If two families switch to organic bacon, one more pig will keep its tail and stay with its mother for much longer;
If one family switches to organic eggs, another hen would have access to grassland and not be at risk of painful beak trimming.
Organic farms also support 50% more wildlife, with 30% more species - that’s more birds, bees, butterflies, beetles, bats and wildflowers.

The prize draw is to win 1 of 4 packages of a month’s worth of organic food from Riverford (up to the value of £50 per week), a total prize value of a £50 voucher for organic clothing from Frugi and a £50 voucher for clothing from People Tree & sustainable cleaning products from Ecover to the value of £50. 2. The closing date for entry is midnight on 30/09/2014. 3. The winner will be drawn at random by prize draw. 4. The competition winner will be notified by email within 7 days of closing date of prize draw. If the Promoter is not able to get in contact with the winner by 07/10/2014, the prize will be forfeited and an alternative winner will be drawn. It is the winner's responsibility to notify the Promoter of any change in contact information. 5. The winner may not use the prize in conjunction with any other offer, promotion or prize draw. 6.
