Hermes tracking codes - what do they usually consist of?

Hi all,

Been given the wrong (un-recognised) tracking code for a Hermes parcel by a seller so can't check where the parcel is.

Does anyone know what a Hermes tracking number should look like? Been given "mpd******" where * is a number.

Does this look right to you?

Thanks all

My most recent one consisted of 16 digits, all numbers.

16 digits. First 2 digits depend on the depot.
For example, if you live near Gatwick, it would start with a '56'

Although the seller has paid for the delivery and has a tracking reference , the parcel may not have been dropped of at a shop or collected yet, so the tracking would not have been scanned into the system yet.
So when entered it would show as unrecognised.
  • This delivery company are the worst ever!! Been waiting for a parcel for 5 days that I was told would be 48 hours!

I don't know who told you it would be 48 hours. Hermes are 3-5 working days.

OP, MPD tracking may be from MyParcelDelivery, a third party booking agent, have you tried on there?
