in Credit cards
Hi all,
As per the subject line really. I've had this card since July '12 and as a result it expires in July '15. I've noticed however that the Aspire World is no longer offered, only the Elite.
Does anyone know will I receive a like for like replacement, or will I be bumped to another card?
Asking in plenty of time in-case I need to make some decisions, credit wise. My only other CC is a Lloyds Student (now a Graduate) but the limit on it is a quarter of the Cap1 so I never use it. Not sure also whether to cancel that, depending on the outcome of the Cap1 situation...
Thanks
Karl

Just because a product has been withdrawn for new customers doesnt automatically mean they will bump existing customers off the product. Barclays withdrew the Premier Life account a few years ago and have had 2 new cards since then.
At some point they will either reopen it to new customers or decide its not cost effective to operate the book of existing customers and so will do something but that could be months or years away and highly unlikely to be linked the the expiry date of anyones card0 -
Thanks II, appreciate the clarification0

I had my Aspire World card replaced last month because they said my existing card details had fallen into the wrong hands.
The AW product hasn't been on sale for a while yet my replacement came valid for three years in the AW livery.Never argue with an idiot. Especially not this idiot because I'm always right anyway.0 -
yes, i would assume it will carry on as it is until you hear different from them.
I have been on an 'old' Amex deal for several years:T0 -

Does it have the contactless payment logo? My old (2012 issue) card doesn't, but I noticed their Aspire Elite and Aspire Biz cards do on the website now.0 -
my Elite certainly does.0
