Laptop help

Could someone please help me to decide between these laptops. It will for my Son to use at University, he's doing a Graphic Design course - mainly using Illustrator and Photoshop. Also to be used for some gaming, only hearthstone and the like, not really high-end gaming.
Budget up to £1000 - but hopefully a lot less. What we'd like to know is, Would it be more future-proof and do a much better job to pay much more for what he needs it for.
His Uni friends have recommended (I personaly think this is the worst one, but he's being swayed by friends) . Acer E5-551. AMD A10-7300 processor, AMD Radeon hd shared graphics. 1TB HD. 1336x768 screen, 8GB. Can get this for £409.
Medion Akoya P6647. I5-4210m processor. Nvidia Geforce GT 825m dedicated graphics. 8GB, 1TB HD, 1336x768 screen. £459.
Acer V3-572G. I7-4510U processor, Nvidia Geforce 840m dedicated graphics. 8GB, 1TB HD, 1336x768. £599.
Lenovo G710. I7-4702mq processor, Nvidia GT72om dedicated graphics. 8gb, 1TB HD, 1600x900 screen. £623.
Lenovo Y510P. I7-4700mq processor, Nvidia GT755m dedicated graphics. 12gb, 1TB HD, 1336x768. £899.
Asus G750JW. i7-4710hq processor, Nvidia Geforce GTX 860m dedicated graphics, 12gb, 1080p screen. £999.
Now I know that the last one is far superior, but obviously being at uni, budget is a big factor (I'm going to pay for it, & he's going to pay me back weekly.
If anyone can help I'd be VERY grateful

Only one Full HD screen?
I would throw all of your options away, based on that alone.
Other options:
MSI CX61 2PC-685UK
Lenovo Flex 2 15 59427151
MSI CX61 2PC-681UK
Lenovo Z710 59419186 17" £650
Just to give you an idea of suitable spec.0 -
I agree with the above response. Ideally a 1080p screen but 1600 x 900 as an absolute minimum. Also take a look at what Dell have on offer as I saw a great spec laptop on Hot UK Deals recently. I'll try and find it and post the details.0

There is also the Gigabyte Q2756N V2-CF1 with a two year warranty at £700.0

This has a 15.6" display. Touchscreen though. Some issues reported with the Space bar.0 -
Have you considered a Macbook Pro? high initial cost but they really last and the battery life is fantastic.0
