Tablet or Laptop

Hi all

Now, i'm not even sure if I'm asking in the correct part but my Mum needs to get on the internet and i'm not sure whether to get her a laptop or a tablet. Which one would people recommend, initially I was thinking a laptop but now after looking at the larger 10'' tablets i'm leaning that way more. Any opinions i'd welcome.

If the requirement is for the Internet then a tablet covers all aspects of the Internet .Tablets include web browsers and email as a minimum other internet aspects can be added if required .
WiFi only tablet will require home WiFi or a more expensive 3g tablet can also use mobile network data .

I bought a tablet for my Mother in law because she wanted to start browsing the net, email and skype. She couldn't get on with Father in laws laptop but sailed through learning the tablet and wouldn't now be without it.
