ANPR and Expedion- Parking ticket whilst at work

Hi,

I was hoping someone could help me, I have tried the Newbie thread but couldn't see a post that related directly to my query.

I work in an office, there are 4 people employed full time, but we only have 2 parking bays. I therefore often have to park in our visitor bays, these are free to park in (for up to 3 hours) and "governed" in the loosest possible terms by ANPR.

I, as have a number of my colleagues received a parking ticket from ANPR. Which i of course haven't paid. Then followed the normal outstanding parking notice, final demand and notice of intent. I have ignored all three, as ill be damned if I am firstly going to pay to park at work, and secondly pay such cowboys.

This was some months ago, and in all honesty i thought they had forgotten the matter, however now i have received a debt recovery letter, telling me i have 14 days to resolve the issue before court papers are filed.

The court papers look decidedly suspicious and i am aware that despite their threat of an impending bad credit rating this will not be affected. I am however wondering:

1 Should I now state my claim? As the registered keeper.
2 If this goes to court, what are my chances having not appealed this?
3 is it too late for POPLA?

Any advice would be gratefully received.

Nicola

Of course the court papers look suspicious, they are fake. Not-very-clever Trevor isn't going to expose his ridiculous shenanigans in a court of law.

Are you saying that a debt collector has sent you court papers? Post them here, they may have shot themselves in the foot. It is the sort of thing that Trading Standards can take action against.

Search the forum for 'Expedion' or 'Trevor'.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Was there a covering letter? If so, can you please post it.

Although this is marked "copy" and bears no authentication, it is clearly intended in my mind to deceive. I would send a copy to your local Trading Standards Officer along with the covering letter and ask him if any breach has occurred. Also copy to the FOS. It may also breach the BPA COP, but as I do not know this by heart, perhaps someone who does could advise.

Well we've seen that before and the BPA don't care - they just say a PPC is allowed to send it to show what may happen! And the OP needs to know the court wouldn't be chosen by the parking firm, and that ANPR Ltd have never yet sued anyone at all. The OP should search the forum for 'Expedion' or 'Trevor' to read what's already been said on other threads. Even the word 'Expedion' is misleading as it's similar to 'Experian' and makes people think of their credit file.

Nothing to stop the OP complaining to their MP and Trading Standards about this drivel, and also to the BPA just in case ANPR Ltd are about to be kicked out (must be close).

I believe that the BPA Ltd has been in "extended correspondence" with Trev. To translate, it means that Trev has been sending pages and pages of drivel to the BPA and they still can't understand what he's trying to say.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
  • Thanks for the help, I understand there are a number of posts already about expedion and ANPR. However i couldn't find one that related to court papers, had a complaint not been launched. I just wanted to check my appeal rights as I had ignored the first three letters, taking me outside of 28 day deadline.
Thanks for the help again guys!

Your appeal rights have expired, except for the right to totally ignore Trev, the fictitious N. Martin, and the alphabet of Hargreaves' they claim to employ. You should now vigorously assert your right to ignore by...ignoring!

They are very interested in anyone who is licence dodging and misusing crown copyright.
Send the document with a complaint and full details of the offender abusing the crown copyright documents to :
