Parking eye Scotland- debt collection letter

Hi,

I hope someone can give me some advice please. I have received a few letters from parking eye for overstaying in a retail park Car park. From advice on here I ignored the few letter I have received over the past 5 weeks or so. This morning a letter has arrived from a debt collector asking for £135. Advice I have found seems to relate to England and Wales only. Can anyone help? Quite worried now.

Thanks in advance

Just keep-on ignoring and stop worrying . The Newbies Sticky is up to date for both sides of the border.

Only respond to properly issued court papers - and don't be holding your breath for that to happen in Scotland. We have yet to see this happen! :D

Also have a look at the pre-POFA letter chain thread in this forum - It should give you a fair idea of the rubbish to expect from them over the next few months.: D
  • That's very reassuring, thanks for responding to me so quickly. I will have a look at the thread you mention. I suppose I was just nervous about ignoring when there is so much advice on the newbies sticky for England and Wales but just to ignore for Scotland. I do understand why- just needed to know that was still the case! Thanks once again

You could Google 'Dundee Courier Private parking' and read their enlightening 2014 articles.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
CLICK at the top or bottom of any page where it says:
Home»Motoring»Parking Tickets Fines & Parking - read the NEWBIES THREAD
  • You will get another 2 or 3 including, probably, an offer to pay a lower amount. Then it goes back up to the original amount in the final letter, which threatens that they will definitely probably think about maybe telling PE to think about maybe discussing asking a solicitor to take you to court. And court is as likely to happen as Hibs winning a trophy this season.
  • I have lodged a complaint to the relevant authorities regarding the letters i have received from Gladstones Solicitors. They are printed on rough 80gsm paper and are hopeless for wiping ones bottom on.

You should send some used paper back to them in a jiffy bag to let them see how bad it is.:rotfl:
PPCs say its carpark management, BPA say its raising standards..... we all know its just about raking in the revenue.
