Is there a difference with NOTIFIED CHARGES?

For the first time, in a long time I went overdrawn this month (completely forgot about a standing order) but I noticed that when they took the money out it said on my statement NOTIFIED CHARGE 25.00. Is there actually a difference between notified charges and the ones where they just get money straight out of your account (like when a cheque bounces)?
Im with HSBC if that makes a difference.
Id be grateful for any help! Thanks a lot !
