OP- just something to keep in mind. Some manufacturers may insist that car is serviced at their dealerships throughout warranty period to keep the warranty valid. so double check this when buying a used card with warranty still left.
They can't, it's been illegal to insist on servicing within the chain for the core warranty period for years.
The rules are from the EU and are referred to as the 'Block Exemption' ruling. You can essentially have the car serviced wherever the hell you like as long as it's VAT registered, work is performed in accordance with manufacturer schedule, and OEM parts or those certified to meet or exceed OEM quality are used.0 -
