Confused with CEA card

I am a little unclear on the way it works, I get DLA for aspergers so would be good to go with a friend or support worker to see a film
Does it have to be a professional to go with me i.e registered support worker, is the card issued to me and I just show it when I buy a ticket?
Second thing is I have a Cineworld card, would that work to get 2nd person in free since technically I am not paying for a ticket.

Your CEA card gives anyone who accompanies you, a free pass as they are there to help you.
Cant help you with a cineworld card I'm afraid as not come across this.0 -
The CEA card cannot usually be used in conjunction with other offers i.e Orange Wednesdays or whatever. BUT, as some have said in earlier topics, some cinemas do allow it to be used alongside such offers. It all depends on the cinema.
As above the card allows free entry to anyone over 16 accompanying you as your 'CARER'.
When buying tickets just show your card. If buying online check the cinemas website for details of how to book.[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.

Can't use a CEA card and Cineworld one - its one or the other.0

Unless Cineworlds terms have changed in the last 5 years you can use both. I used to when we lived near a cineworld and had a Cineworld card.0

Last time I tried, I was told by the manager that you can only use one or the other. Might have changed, or they may have been wrong. Maybe the OP could ask their local cinema for something in writing?0 -
I used to use a Cineworld Unlimited card with a CEA card and never had any problems. Basically, the Cineworld card is you paying your fee and the CEA card is so your carer can come along too. If you get refused using a CEA card with your Cineworld card then write to their HQ and I'm sure it would be sorted for you.0
