Hi there,
I want to install my old MS-office 97 CDrom but it is asking for the 11 digit licence key. I have lost it and did advertise for help on Gumtree.
I received an email with 3 lots of codes to try and one of them worked. I didnt go ahead and install it just yet until some one knows if its safe to do so.
Can anyone please help

Not that I would imagine anyone cares about office 97 now that it is *trys to think* about 5 versions out of date but entering someone else's licence key is obviously illegal. It would still work given that key your entering is genuine it's just whether your happy with that. To be honest with it beingso out dated you'd be better just installing a copy of open office from http://download.openoffice.org/2.2.0/ which is completely free, more up to date and does pretty much the same thing. To be honest the layout is even pretty similarLBM 2 - 27.05.09. Try OpenOffice. It's more functionality than Office97 but is MS Office compatible and COMPLETELY FREE

another vote for open office here!
Personally I use office 2007 most often but open office is a great alternative and is certainly better than office 970 -
Seconded - illegal to use license codes other than your own so PLEASE don't do that0

Do you have it installed on any machine?
If so you can view the key using:
Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder v1.51

Open office will be better than office 97 (it is 10 years more up to date!). It is free, so no dodgy licence key needed.
