Free school meals

Can anyone help me my youngest son is disabled he gets dla and in junior school last yr he got free school meals now this sept nothing has changed only school from junior to senior and they are now telling me he isn't entitled to free school meals yet I am under the threshold of earnings can u please advise

In my local authority, if your child gets free school meals, you receive a form from the council in July, to check as correct, sign, and return. If you don't, then free school meals do not continue in September.
Did you receive any correspondence during the weeks prior to your son moving up to secondary school? If you did, did you return it?0 -
In my local authority its all done by your NI number no forms to sign or send back. come on kingfisherblue your local authority need to keep up with the times. We are in 2014 :rotfl:0
