Mine was a 'he!'.....and still asked the same question...and still wished me luck for the future.

Such a simple statement really sums it up as to what bankruptcy actually means to the new bankrupt...it truly means, one has been given a fresh start with life, with the full support of the Law behind you.
No, I don't think all other drivers are idiots......but some are determined to change my mind.......

I'm sure the interview will be fine. Best of luck with it all!

  • The interview is nothing to worry about, my receiver was great. Very friendly and non judgemental. They are just doing a job.

Ref the bank account, nothing is going to magically close itself the minute you are pronounced bankrupt. I kept the same bank account I had even though I advised them (Lloyds) and have not had any problems. Obviously you can't get credit but the world doesn't end I promise, good luck.
  • Just remember that the examiner and staff at the OR's are human too and they are just doing their jobs. The main point of the interview is to find out why you went bankrupt and to enable them to put together a Report to Creditors.
I worked as a case clerk for the IS for a number of years. Any views expressed are my own. If your query is urgent, please contact the OR or LTADT dealing with your case directly.
