Child Benefit - Weekly payments

Hi there, I have recently moved in with my partner and have let tax credits & child benefit know. At the moment I am getting weekly payments of child benefit as used to be a single parent. Does anyone know how long it takes for them to start paying this monthly or will it stay weekly?

Have you asked them to change the frequency? If not it should stay same. TC's as it is a new joint claim might take a while to sort, so budget accordingly.

Thanks for your reply, no I haven't asked them to change the frequency. We are no longer entitled to tax credits so won't be getting them any more. It would be handy if the child benefit stayed as a weekly payment. Fingers crossed.
