Booked holiday on credit card

in Credit cards
Hello,
I paid a deposit for a holiday, and with the price we were quoted for the trip, it stated that transfers had been included. We paid the deposit and then received a receipt that stated that transfers are not included in the quoted total.
The holiday provider are now contesting what we had been quoted for and say we will need to pay an extra £300 for transfers. What can I do?
Thanks for any advice!

I wouldn't be sure that the payment method makes any difference here.
If you have a copy of their quote that states transfers included then the holiday company should honour this and you are in a position to pressure them to do so. If do not have any actual evidence that this was included in the original price then it is just your word against theirs.0 -

It might not, depending on exact circumstances, but paying with a credit card does at least mean that the card provider is jointly liable to the customer under section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act (subject to various conditions, see this page for further details), so if OP is able to demonstrate misrepresentation and the provider doesn't play ball, there is the potential for recourse via the card provider.0 -
I must say, the simplest solution would be to arrange your own transfers. Local transport ought not to cost anything like that much, while insisting on your rights with the holiday company would take far more time and effort than it is worth.0

Two people - it's a ski holiday. I raised my eyebrows as well!0 -

Thanks. I have the entire conversation on email so do have the proof that the quote included transfers.0 -

ALWAYS HAVE A DIRECT DEBIT SET UP FOR THE MINIMUM PAYMENT ON YOUR CREDIT CARDS, REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU PLAN TO LOGIN AND PAY EACH MONTH.0 -
