Adjusting Flag Door Hinges

Hi folks

The uPVC front door seems to have dropped, I was wondering how to adjust the hinges? Several searches seem to talk about a different kind of hinge with three possible adjustments.

On these hinges there are two adjustments, one is under the frame side of the hinge

The other adjustment is at the side:

There is no adjustment from the top:

The sticker inside the hinge cover says "slacken screws before adjustment" - which screws are they referring to? There are two large and two small.

When standing inside, the door hits the bottom right of the frame when opening and closing and pushing upwards to lock the door is not as easy as it used to be. It's worse when the door's in direct sunlight.

Any advice would be appreciated.

:)

    My guess:
    slacken the 2 small screws

    then

picture 1 - should raise/ lower the door

picture 2 - should pull the door closer/ push the door away from the hinge side of the frame
So, pulling the top hinge closer and/or pushing the lower hinge away (from the hinge side of the frame) should lift the opposite side of the door and bring it back into line with the lock plate. If there's 3 hinges, you may need to adjust the center one also (adj. each hinge a bit at a time and see what happens)

Edit: as above ^ (post #3) I took too long thinking how to explain it:rotfl:
Edit Again: The post I referred to has disappeared

I have adjusted these before using an allen key in the hole at the end of the hinge.

Just mark its position before you move anything in case you need to return to it, ie: make it worse :-D

    Good news, it worked!

Thanks very much for the helpful advice, including the member whose post has been deleted (luckily I saw it before it disappeared).

It's a good tip to mark the position before turning the allen key. For once it seems I've managed to repair something without making it several times worse. :rotfl:

It's the two smaller screws that should be slackened before adjustment as their removal allows sideways movement when you turn the allen key.

In this case I needed to get the bottom right edge of the door higher, to stop it striking the the frame when opening and closing. So I moved the bottom hinge outwards, left the middle hinge as it was and moved the top hinge inwards.
