I had this. Turned out some BT engineer had mucked about with something in the local exchange. Took ten days to get fixed. Wasn't even with BT at the time.
God less their little hearts.0 -
My Mum and her neighbour had a similar problem that took months and two BT visits to resolve. It turned out that a large tree in an adjacent garden was hitting the wires. At first, BT requested the tree be trimmed (which took 6 months for the owner to comply) but they then discovered the wires had "Squirrel damage" and had to be replaced!"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.0
