I recently had to pay an unexpected tax bill with my credit card,are there any credit card companies who would let me transfer£5000 into an interest free card?

It is possible, yes if you can get a new CC with a limit high Enough. This would depend on a whole list of factors, including credit you already have, limits of current ccs, income etc etc.
Sometimes the limit you get seems arbitrary as within the last year I got a Barclaycard limit of 12k and then a virgin card of 4k. But I guess the lower limit on virgin was to do with the extra available I had, including Barclaycard.

we need to be very careful while transferring the some amount from our bank account to another through credit card.

The credit card is beneficial for us but it may be harmful also regarding our security purpose.
