Bank charges

You can buy a postal order from the Post Office - they are effectively cheques complete with sort code etc0

Sounds like you are submitting a SAR?
If your complaint is about bank charges remember this is largely only for current hardship complaints not historical ones so be aware!Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:
People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

OP said he was asked (presumably by the bank) for £10 "to continue" - sounded to me like he had asked for all his account info from the bank to help them look into a bank charges complaint and they interpreted it to be an SAR request, hence asking for the £10 payment
I just think if he's looking for old bank records to look at charges he may have paid in the past before putting in a complain to reclaim them he's on a hiding to nothing due to the court case
