Is the celler considered a 'room' for buildings insurance purposes?

The house I'm buying has a cellar which is just used as storage. It's not converted in any way, and the height from floor to ceiling is only something like 5ft. So I'm wondering, when applying for buildings insurance, would I have to count this as a 'room' or do I not have to declare it?
Thank you in advance for any responses!
EDIT: Just noticed I spelt cellar wrong in the thread title, oops :P

If you want to get away without declaring it then ask them to be sure. I'd have thought you would have to declare it as building a property with a cellar will cost more in most cases than building the identical building without one.0

Normally for insurance quotes they define what rooms you need to declare. It is the normal rooms that you use for habitation.
Before you start using it for storage, you should ask the current owner whether the cellar has ever suffered from flooding. Sometimes cellars can be prone to flooding and you can take measures to seal the walls of the cellar to stop this happening. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.0
