PPI Claims companies

I have a quick question.
I tried to claim back my PPI myself but was unsuccessful so I went to PPIclaims ltd.
Received a few letters from them urging me to complete the forms. So I filledin the forms and sent them back I then heard nothing. After about 7 or 8 monthsI had forgot which company I had spoken to and had no correspondence so Idecided to try it myself again. After a number of months and a number of phonecalls to the back I managed to get somewhere and received a settlement letter.A couple of days later I get a letter from the PPI company requesting theirmoney. This was the first correspondence I’ve had off them in over 12 months,as far as I can see they haven’t done anything apart from send Lloyds a letterover 12 months ago have they neglected their duties is 12 months longer thanany contract should stand without correspondence? Where do I stand as I did allthe leg work after??

All the claims company does is send in the letter. They dont do anything else. So, they have carried out the duties you asked them to do.Where do I stand as I did allthe leg work after??
Expect them to take you to court if you dont pay them. Claims companies are vigorous on this front.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
That is all you employed them to do.as far as I can see they haven’t done anything apart from send Lloyds a letter
The contract is that you agree that they represent you in any PPI complaint and there is no timescale to that. You decided of your own volition to pursue the complaint yourself when it was already too late as you had already signed a legally-binding contract.have they neglected their duties is 12 months longer thanany contract
If you don't pay their bill, the company will pursue you through the courts if necessary which will end up costing you even more.
You'll have to pay them.0
