2 Tickets in 7 Hours - Same spot

Hi everyone,

I keep finding conflicting information regarding this so really need a bit of help.

Parked my car up at about 17:30 last night and came back today to find 2 parking tickets on the windscreen. I don't mind paying one as it's my fault I didn't see the permit holders only sign, however just wanted to check whether they can actually ticket more than once in such a short space of time?

They were issued by a city council and not a private firm.

The first ticket was at 17:50 and the following ticket at 12:28 the next day. I hadn't moved the car or returned to it, and the second CEO must have seen the first ticket before issuing the second one.

I was going to go and pay in person and ask the question but I wondered if anyone could help me out before then?

Cheers everyone

Quick update: I've just gone onto the council's website to look at the appeals process. It asks for PCN number and car registration.

Upon entering the first PCN number, the following page states at the top, amount outstanding: £35.00 with the option to 'pay now' or continue with the challenge.

Now when I enter the 2nd PCN number, the following page states amount outstanding: £0.00 and no 'pay now' button. Is it possible that they have cancelled this second PCN and are only enforcing the first one?

You should look to appeal BOTH. There is no point paying one without trying an appeal (seing as the PCN tells you they will re-offer the discount, what's to lose?). Pepipoo forum help almost everyone beat almost every Council PCN even if you think you might be bang to rights*. Ask them in a new thread but don't post without pics of BOTH SIDES of the PCNs!

    * e.g. the contravention may not match the sign...or it could be a flawed PCN like Hounslow ones are...that sort of thing!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
