HI
Anybody got any ideas, My family moved to the Isle of Man
in 2008, 2 and a bit years before I started University. When I started Uni The IOM government wouldnt fund me as they said I wasnt a resident - you have to have lived there for four years prior to the course starting to be eligible for funding. so I applied to the SLC - who after some debate agreed to a loan. Now this was four years ago and I have now received a letter saying this was an error and they want immediate repayment for both the maintanance grant and the university will want their fees back as well. I have appealed but they refused it saying I wasnt a UK resident.
Help anyone
