hi,
I was trying to replace my broken pull cord switch. the old one has a red wire going into the com and 2 red wires going into S1 (the new switch has L1 instead) and none going into S2.
If i do the same wiring into the new switch: 1 red into com and 2 reds into L1, the light works but the bathroom light doesnt. If i put 1 red into the com, 1 red into L1 and 1 into L2 the same issue happens. I'm very confused!
Any ideas?

You can't just put any red wire into the common. It needs to be the same one that came out of the old common. The other two then go into L1.
It wont work if you put random wires into random holes.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
Hope this helps, IF not sure call in a professional .

I did put the same red from the old Com into the Com in the new switch, so not sure why it isn't working correctly.0

Check you have not pushed the wire in too far so you have crimped onto the insulation missing the copper wire core ?There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly repliesPlease excuse me Spell it MOST times:A UK Resident :A0
