  • Sister in law received window screen ticket from Elite Management (Midlands) Ltd 01/07/2014 as far as i can tell usual signs one side of the street saying permit holders only but the side she parked no sign,no yellow lines or defined car parking bays.
  • Told her to wait for NRK
  • NRK dated 26/8/14.28 days to appeal so deadline tomorrow.
  • Tried to appeal online tonight it wouldn't let me said referred to Roxburghe already.
  • So have soft appealed via email haven't mentioned being already referred to Roxburghe .
  • If she gets threatograms from the rottweillers any advise and what if the won't give POPLA code.
  • Thanks.

I would recommend a visit to Roxburghe.com to cheer yourself up! They've gone into administration! Don't think that they'll be chasing you any time soon!

So I assume you appealed to the PPC direct instead?

If not, then wait for Elite to write again next month or whenever, and then send them a copy of 'the appeal we submitted to Roxburghe'. They will have no paper trail of what was sent to Roxburghe so they won't have any clue. You could also complain by email to the BPA but I would wait and see what Elite do next, and then blame Roxburghe as you 'did appeal in time'. This will cause Elite & other PPCs a big headache!

    1. I used the short soft appeal from the newbies thread and appealed to the email address on the NRK as it wouldn't let me appeal via Elite's website and have received the following email:
    2. In regards to your points made please can you confirm why to each point you have raised. This is due to you only stating and not explaining.
Could someone please advise on how I should reply. It seems to me the email was written by someone who doesn't have a grasp of the English language. Many thanks.

Email back, and say these are the points I am appealing on. I have nothing further to add. Please allow my appeal or issue me with a POPLA code so I can appeal further.

You don't need to say more!

    Hi all

We never received a reply to my email. So just thought that was it.Oh no SIL now received letter from the above who I believe have taken over Roxburghe.
    http://http://s46.photobucket.com/user/mia83/library/

Hope someone can convert the link.
The letter states will be passed to solicitors within 14 days SIL gave me the letter today.
I propose to email tonight advising that we did email etc and that no communication has been received until this letter.
So we haven't been offered the chance to appeal through POPLA and therefore this matter should be closed.
    Does this sound ok?
If anyone can think of anything else to add please advise or wording it stronger.
    Many thanks.

There's nothing you can do to satisfy this bunch, other than pay up, which we don't recommend, why would you be here otherwise? Just wait to see what their next move is.

They are muddying the water here by displaying an IPC mark on their letter, yet representing a BPA AOS operator.

Did you get a POPLA verification code from Elite? If not complain to the BPA (Steve Clark - email addy in the NEWBIES sticky, post #6) that this wasn't provided, now you're being chased by a debt collector from the BPA's rival organisation, the IPC.

    See what that brings.

The only response to the soft appeal via Elite's website was met with as stated in post 5 and I just replied as per post 6.
    So no POPLA code.
Sorry don't know how to quote maybe someone can tell me how.

Anyway I will get an email sent to UCS advising of the circs and also pointing out the bit about displaying IPC mark etc and that a formal complaint has been submitted to BPA.

    Many thanks.

NO - don't correspond with UCS, there's nothing positive to be gained, rather you identify yourself as a 'fish on a hook' that will encourage them to continue trying to prise your cash from you. Never correspond with a debt collector!

Concentrate your efforts on complaining to the BPA.
