I have purchased a second hand item from CEX online shop. It was a grade A with full 12 month warranty tablet.
Soon it developed a fault and was returned back to CEX with delivery confirmation. This was 22 days ago and despite numerous reminders CEX could not advise current status or time required for repair.
Could someone please advise what time I have to allow to request full refund? 22 days without any information is bit ridiculous and I want to request a refund since I don;t believe it will be repaired or replaced.
In addition, CEX state that full refund will be given if item develop a fault within 28 days. I have notified CEX about this fault within 28 days and was asked to return it to them. Can I now request full refund?
My order has developed a fault or has broken.
Should your order develop a fault within 28 days of receiving it, contact us as soon as possible for a full refund to the original payment method or a replacement.
Thank you

If you have not yet requested a refund, I would do so now.I have purchased a second hand item from CEX online shop. It was a grade A with full 12 month warranty tablet.

I already have, but what is the next step and what time is legally allowed for repair?
The only other thing I can do now is send a letter, but they have almost another month to respond.
Never, ever, ever buy second hand goods from CEX website.0 -
If this is a repair under Sale of Goods Act terms, then there is no definitive time limit.I already have, but what is the next step and what time is legally allowed for repair?
Section 48B of SoGA says:
Only a court can decide what that means in your particular case.(2)If the buyer requires the seller to repair or replace the goods, the seller must—
(a)repair or, as the case may be, replace the goods within a reasonable time but without causing significant inconvenience to the buyer;0 -
I've checked their T&Cs and repair can take up to 28 working days! That's 6.5 calendar weeks!
That's in their details T&Cs section not in the general.0
