incorrect date put on claim form

Can any body help please. I am in the court process with Barclays and today I noticed the date I have entered on the court form is incorrect, instead of saying FROM-- 2001 I have mistakenly put FROM--2007
The bank has today put in an acknowlegement of claim, is this a disaterous mistake? The court has informed me that I can alter the details for an extra £35 but it will start the whole process again, giving them another 14 days to acknowledge the claim again, etc etc. Should I pay an extra £35 to alter the details or wait until the bank says that it intends to defend the claim? Thanking you for your help in anticipation. Dave
