Delightful Bouquets - Not delightful

I ordered a bunch of roses from Delightful Bouquets to send to my sister. Cheap enough at £14,99 for about 8 various coloured roses including delivery on a specified date.
Not very delightful I'm afraid as:
- They arrived 1 day late
- They arrived 75% dead
- They didn't recover after 2 days in water/food and ended up in the bin 100% dead very swiftly.
- Customer Services don't reply to emails - 3 attempts so far.
Awful. Wouldn't use again. Embarrasing to send a loved one nearly dead flowers, looks like a hidden hate message!:(

Did either of you pay by credit card, if so, you can probably claim from them.Thrifty Till 50 Then Spend Till the End
You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0 -

Delightful bouquets trading as customer bargains limited.

Not that I trust " trustpilot", but out of 95 reviews they only got 1star .0 -
Unfortunately I did not read the TrustPilot and MSE Forum reports on Delightful Bouquets as I was quickly looking early on 11th Feb for a supplier that would honour a Valentine's Day delivery for 13th Feb. My experience with Delightful Bouquets was as follows:
- at the time of ordering I was offered the 13th Feb as a delivery day
- no delivery on the 13th so urgently emailed their CS so I could try and determine whether it would arrive on the 14th or not and thus whether I'd need to make alternative arrangements
- no response on this until Monday 15th and then began an email discussion with them. It turns out there is no delivery or support on a Sunday even at what is presumably one of their busiest time of the year when you would think they would want to have satisfied customers
- it seems the small print says the delivery can be up to 2 days after the date offered and accepted at the time of the order
- eventually delivered on Tue 16th (Royal Mail said was only received that day) and several blooms were already past it, so was offered a replacement
- the replacement arrived within 2 days and was in a much better condition
The quick replacement suggested to me that they did not have the logistical capability to deliver the original bouquet on the 13th due to the volume of business handled at that time by such retailers - and so why were they offering it as a date?
I guess they could because of the T&Cs they could hide behind when the delivery failed to arrive on time.
Lessons learnt from my experience?
- Use this company at a key time of the year only if you allow plenty of time for delivery well before the desired date to give yourself time to obtain a replacement if necessary.
- Read the small print and plan the delivery based on their maximum possible time plus a few days.
So not one that I'll be using again in a hurry, but your experience may be different.0 -
Used this awful company calling themselves Delightful Bouquets only for the flowers to not show and no number to call and complain to! Emailed and was offered a 20% discount off my next order and NOT my money back!!!! Looks like they have a scam going on here. What can be done to get my money back!!!0

How did you pay ? If you used a debit card or Visa, Amex or Mastercard credit card you can ask the card issuer to initiate a chargeback
