Right to refund following motor bike purchase?

Hi all, need a bit of a steer re: Private Purchase of Motor bike. Facts are since bringing bike home it has never worked properly. I am now in possession of mechanics report stating modifications to engine made prior to purchase have irreparably damaged the engine and subsequent performance.
The original advertisement clearly stated bike had had a full engine rebuild. Advert also stated Full Service history which was promised via post but never received despite phone calls requesting it.
He also failed to register change of owner with DVLA and failed to forward on new tax disc also as promised. My Son has subsequently spent over £200+ on bike replacing worn sprockets/brakes/chain etc.
I need to know what course of action i should take re getting compensation. I am trying to contact person by mob. but no reply (lives 70 miles away).

Do you have their address?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
What exactly did the advert state? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Hi yes I have their full address, Advert stated they had it for a year and 'could honestly say they didn't have a problem with it'. 'to find one of this quality is amazing' ''overall it is a beautiful bike which has been cared for' 'good condition extremely reliable' etc. etc.0

The reason I was asking is because in private sales, there is no implied term about quality or fitness. It purely comes down whether the bike is as described or not so exact wording could prove crucial.
ETA: although if the advert were to say it has something, it would be reasonable to assume it was working - ie a car listed as having a cd player, the cd player should work. You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0
