please help on financial disassociation

Hi everyone,

My wife and I shared a joint account since 2012 and live together at the same address.

Is that possible to remove the financial association on the credit report, if we close our joint account?

Yes, if you no longer have any joint financial products.

Yes. Once any/all joint accounts are closed then you can file a notice of disassociation.

Sharing an address is not an issue. Shared joint accounts/joint mortgage etc are.

You will need to file a separate notice to each of the 3 agencies (or whichever have the association showing).

If the association is showing on your Experian report, you can request a financial disassociation once the joint account has been closed.

You can do this by completing the online form found here.

if gas & elec bill or city council bill letters show both our name, will this be OK make disassociation?
