Parking Charge Notice in Cornwall - can I just ignore it?

Hi, whilst on holiday last week in Perranporth, Cornwall, my girlfriend purchased a ticket for parking which I was sure I placed in the front windscreen, but when we returned it was not to be seen - and a PARKING CHARGE NOTICE was on the window.
The company is AS Parking (trading name of Athens Security Services Ltd.) They're asking for £100, reduced to £60 if payment is made in the next two weeks.
I can't find the ticket, so can't even appeal and have made no contact.
Am I right in thinking I can literally ignore any subsequent correspondence that comes my way and I'll get a few threatening letters though, but nothing can happen?
Thanks

Ah, thanks for the pointer. In that flow chart, it asks, 'Was it issued by NCP or a small company?'
Anyone know which category AS Parking falls into? A few Googles suggest that their owner is a notoriously unpleasant man.0 -
Kev McManus of Ar5e Parking is a jumped up nightclub bouncer and a self-made man who worships his creator. He also thinks that rules don't apply to him.
Having said that, I have never heard of him issuing a court claim against anyone over a fake parking fine. Nonetheless I would urge you to follow the normal process: wait for the postal notice, "appeal" to Kev (without naming the driver even if Kev falsely tells you that you must), and then PoPLA. Kev hates PoPLA and there is satisfaction to be had from picturing him in a carpet-munching rage over yet another forum-fuelled appeal (not to mention costing him 27 quids).Je suis Charlie.0 -
Seeing as you've lost the PCN, how does it matter? You must await the NTK or whatever the call the first 'demand' letter to keeper. That will help you anyway because it will be a pile of drivel and not a compliant NTK under the POFA 2012. Use the appeal template as shown in post #1 of the Newbies thread. Then, in the end, make sure you check on the Newbies thread post #3 about how to word a POPLA appeal suited to AS Parking as this guy, Kevin, doesn't like losing (but we do beat him!).Ah, thanks for the pointer. Does Kev. go about shimmying up against cars whose valid parking tickets are perched lightly on fascia? All that nightclub bouncing has to go somewhere. Ticket down front is a goal.

Yes it's such a coincidence that both AS parking and PPS suffer so much from the unfortunate events of fluttering tickets all the time...every day. They must be so sad about it (NOT). Hence why the POPLA appeal I wrote for a PPS case (which can also be adapted for AS Parking) hints at the possibilities and mentions that PPS have always been 'movers and shakers' in the parking industry when they were clampers. It cannot be possible that these tickets are all just falling off dashboards.
I wonder what would happen if, for example, a window was left half an inch open for air and a rogue employee used a straw to blow air at the P&D ticket? Or if he just leant his fat behind on the cars where the tickets were closest to the edge of the dash, then scratched his ample bum?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
