I found the MSE Budget brain website very useful - it helped account for our 4 week salary months and weekly/monthly/annual bills and each type of outgoing has a separate page - a very long wet afternoon to go through the first time you use it but you can do it in stages and then retrieve the work you have done before.

I've FINALLY made a first step to getting my butt into gear re budgeting etc.
I have been having a bit of a sabbatical on facebook as well as on here but have just finally made the move of having a facebook account for moneysaving.
My old one is used by the sprog's to keep up with a few home educated kids so I wanna keep that one free for occasionally using for local stuff.
Can't wait to get back on track with making ends meet.
Past few months have been (and still are) pretty grim on so many levels.
If I can get back my bargain instincts, it will help me SO much.

What is the deal with the UDIs please as my store seemed to be fully stocked and the SEL was showing £2.69? Are they reduced in some stores? It does appear from my visits to various stores and various reports on here that the instore RTC are not necessarily consistent across all stores/superstores. On HUKD we would be getting "Proof" demands even though it wouldn't help at all as I can see the same RTC in two out of three of my stores, yet on another product it is on two out of three but not in the same two of the three stores (IYSWIM) - or not available in any of my stores but clearly available in others!
No wonder we get confused.
I added the phrase Muggle Elite Glitch APG to earlier posts to explain the issue where you managed to successfully get the glitchy items but like a muggle manage to mix a vS and a vT shop (which I have done twice in the past week).

:rotfl::rotfl:Imagine if there were cries for "Proof" on every item on my Morries list! I'd have to photograph the entire stores:eek::rotfl:. You ought to get me to do your shops as I have never yet knowingly mixed up any of my shopping. As if I have time:rotfl:. (I must have mixed it up loads before I started using the APG and started with this thing - that's what I mean by "knowingly".)
As for availability and RTC pricing in one store but not another, and then yet another with different items, some in the first store but not the second, people know all about similar things from my posts about my findings from Morries. I never get confused though - I always remember exactly which store each was in and where it was not!:D That's if I've even looked for it in order to see it in a store:o. (It may be there but I've not looked for it - for example, I check one first store and get as much as I can from there, then I don't bother to recheck everything in the second store, but just mainly the ones that I think are dubious and the items I couldn't find in the first store, or could find but with no pricing on the shelf! For example, the Jeera Poppadums yesterday, I thought I hadn't seen them at all as I was looking at every price, so I went back in - I then found they were there on the shelf after all, but with no pricing. It's often the case that, if I miss something first time around, it's that the store doesn't stock it - I thought this store had a wider range this time! I then omitted to look for them in the second store:o, so relied on msm:eek:. But I do know they were on mbuy last time I saw them, last week in the store that was second this time, and msm gives an end date of the offer, so it seems reliable there. That said, with mbuys - not that I can tell from instores, as they fail to put all of them up!:rotfl:)
Anyway you don't need to know all this:o:o:rotfl::rotfl:.0 -

Well got an interesting delivery. The UDI's and snicker were oos so not charged.
I ordered 6 Thorntons. 2 were replaced by a £5 box and was charged £1 so kept that.
The remaining 4 showed as £1.50 each so told the man I dont want them but will keep the boxed one. He asked whys that, so I said they were 50p each in the shop yesterday, so he offered to refund me £4 to make them 50p each so I said ok. Wont help with the APG though. Oh wellWon't make any difference to the APG - they went in at the full price and will match as planned regardless of how much you paid instore?
I forgot to say, in one CC they had run out of the little bags of Thorntons so had replaced as one box of Thorntons instead - not as a good a deal as some people got (cost £3.00 instead of £6 for one box of chocolates) but then I wasn't paying anyway as APG still matched £1.50 to £1 for each of the 6 bags).

Is it normal for the full amount of an online shop to be pending from your bank account for a few days? My bank balance is way off what it should be and I think it is the full cost of the shopping being charged but then only the price I paid being taken. I know that sounds like waffle but hopefully someone will know what I mean0
