Afternoon or should it be good evening as the night draws in.Have had a NSD today as treated myself yesterday at Ascot to 3 lovely 100% silk tops but was very :money:as they were reduced from £45 each down to £15 each.Thats me sorted now for my outfits for Xmas as I do like to ring the changes.

DS has been up to Scotland for the weekend and just popped in to give me a Scottish pie for my supper and never having had one before wondered what is in them anyone on here know the answer and what are they called.

Stewed steak and beef sausage, very nice!!:D

there we go elainemn twinks hobnob recipe
    Hobnob Recipe

    Ingredients

    8oz sr flour
    8oz sugar
    8oz porridge oats
    8oz margarine
    1tbsp golden syrup
    1tbsp hot water
    1/2 tsp bic soda

    Instructions

Mix the flour, oats and sugar, melt marg, syrup and water in a pan. Stir in bic soda and add to dry mix.

Then mix well and make into smallish balls which you then put on a greased tray and flatten slightly with a fork. Put in the oven at 180 degrees C for 15 mins... and cool on the tray. The aim is to get them golden in the oven not brown.

    had 1130 thanks :j:j

My oats were a little out of date, think they were from the big tesco glitch to be honest :o I have none left now, so I need to get my oats soon :D

Has anyone tried adding things, like sultanas or cherries?

We are both very well thanks, other than aching lots, but that's nothing a hot bath won't sort :D:D

I read about your friend at work. That's pretty crap isn't it :(

    Glad you are both well.

Yeah, friend going to do another job is pants, but such is life. I'm happy for her. I think it's £6K more and she actually really needs it. I won't let it get me down that she will be gone though. Thanks for your concern.

Was anyone else striking on Tuesday? I've just been told it's been called off, so I will have to go to work now. Boohoo!
