On the subject of slugs.
My youngest brother, when he was about 6, came into the kitchen with something in his mouth, my mum was heaving, it was the biggest slimiest slug you have ever seen, the slime was all down his chin, and he was munching away on it.:eek:
We never let him live it down now though.
Have been to docs this afternoon, as my arm is still killing me and gradually getting worse, they have said its soft tissue damage.
I will always remember when my brother was 3 and was "helping" in the garden, mum came out and nearly had a fit, he was sucking on a slug (nightshift please ignore!) like a lolly, must have really liked it because he screamed like billio when she took it away from himCan't be too bad, the French eat snails!
Another memorable garden moment was when my daughter was about 18 months old. She was out in the garden by the cotoneaster, went out to see what she was doing. She was stroking a massive bumble bee, it must have been really soft because she had this amazing look on her face, and the bee must have liked it because it just sat there letting her stroke it :T:TWhat is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Why have those expensive Hartley's Jelly pots though?:rotfl:
They are a minuscule 23g. And having to buy at least 2:eek:. Why not have M's own brand 'RTC' ones - 120g - at same price 20p?
Fwiw, the Hartley tablet jellies onto 3 for £1 in M today - doubt they'll pick that up:rotfl::(:rotfl:.0 -

I reckon they do now it's not so busy. :T
They didn't notice the dip in the awning from last time nice mouldy ring where that was. Glad Mr TS did a good job bending the poles back. :T
One was already bit bent but he straightened it other side from it collapsing earlier in the year. Don't think we had it up tight enough, tents you leave a bit of give, we didn't realise awnings had to be as tight as a drum.
Big learning curve for us. We are thinking of getting one of those small porch type ones for most of the year as we don't really need the big one up all year round only for when the girls come over which was just the summer holiday.
Glad the visitors have gone bubbs don't think I would like that. :eek:0 -

Did you egg wash it all over? This can sometimes stop it puffing. Could also have the same effect if you cut it with a blunt knife or crimpled the edges, seals the layers together. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0
