Thank you pd, cottage pie is on my list. I'm thinking if it's cooked and browned in the oven initally it will still have some crunch if it's warmed up in the microwave afterwards?Hope is not a strategy.0 -
Just polished off one of those M&S posh dogs for my tea. Yummy!
Arms and abs workout tomorrow. I'm excited. Happy it's not the legs :rotfl:Debt free 6th December 2014

Macaroni cheese freezes well, pasta bakes ,lamb hotpots, roast dinners, cauliflower cheese,I cook quite a lot for older people, they seem to like things that are easy to prepare, not spicy and easy to digest.
Salmon and fish pie if they like it,anything in sauce seems to freeze well and reheats easy.Oh brains kicked into 1st gear, mum used to freeze leftover sliced roast meat in gravy, that reheated easily.
Also lasagne, I used to add veg to the meat layer to bulk it out and then, when cool, wrap the portions straight into cling film.
If you have containers you can use then risotto freezes well as does rice topped with stroganoff
Excellent ideas ladies, thank you! xxHope is not a strategy.0 -
I don't know why I'm posting this, but, anyway.
I've been procrastinating:(:(:( - needing to sort out one of my household bills. I know someone else here posted in the last few days about similar things: I remember your post:D:D, but not who you were sorry: you said something like switching energy suppliers - what a bore. I agree with that - and it's just boring that it is the reason for the procrastination (story of my life:() - but, on the other hand, as you know, I can get really into money-saving and then, as part of that, things like switching energy become my 'special interest' so that I pursue them with vigour (to the slight detriment of everything else:(:rotfl:). But yes, I do have, earlier tonight, some feeling of boredom that is the whole root cause of the 'putting off'.
Then..when I picked up the household bills file, the piece of paper I needed was the very first page on the top!:T:T:D So I sorted it all within a few seconds. There it was - the fornlorn prospect of having to search through the file, that was causing me to put it off, and it turns out first thing on there anyway so no problem.
So, all done and sorted! But, now, I should be off preparing a meal but I'm on here!:(:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
So, goodbye folks, I'm off to sort the meal out!
I'm already trying to plan tomorrow though - and work out where I'm going in the day. Another Morries collection tomorrow apparently:rotfl: and, oh well, I'll just miss the usual Wednesday glitches again.:A
I got done today my main A shopping that was to have been tomorrow. Maybe I can fit in another, but small, shop for a couple of A's offers, work out my route and which A is nearest the M I am going to go to. It's all planned out! But that's what I am good at:).
Thank you all!:beer:0 -

Well done to all the limerick finishers:T
My presentation went really well today:T
Quick visit to A and found further reductions on rum, spiced rum and whisky. Several reduced to clear but nothing comparing. Will keep my eyes peeled.
Oh and thanks VT for the heads up on the Kitchen cookery programme. It's in my planner now:TTo do is to be. Rousseau
