I got absolutely soaked in the rain this morning, right down to the undercrackers! :rotfl:
Sun is just struggling to fight through the clouds now. It's feeling really autumny.
Can anyone recommend a good brand for decent waterproof coat? I have a Tresspass jacket that is waterproof but not breathable so I always feel hot when I wear it.
I don't need a warm coat, as I am naturally hotjust something that is waterproof but breathable? Does such a thing exist? Thanks in advance Eliters x
I like my Karrimor lightweight jacket
For the colder weather I also like my Superdry jacket.

Thank you all. I will check all those out.

Think we are going to regret leaving the awning up over the caravan. Mr TS didn't have time before he went away to bring everything back in it to put in the garage.
I will have to check on it at some point. Hoping it won't have collapsed like before as I won't be able to bend the poles back.
And we are forecast thunderstorm tomorrow.
I did warn my DH not to leave the gazebo up, I've seen 4 or 5 go the same way at my parents' house over the years (will they ever learn??) but he keeps saying 'it'll be fine' (his favourite phrase ). Fingers crossed for all gazebos, awnings and other garden furniture over the next few days! I couldn't reach the gazebo to help pack it back down even if I wanted to, one of the joys of being on the short side of 'average height'We are expert piddlers in Dorset. We even have a river piddle and a couple of villages with piddles in them.
We have a 'Wyre Piddle' near us, which I always think sounds awfully painful! We looked at moving there once but I would never have been able to tell anyone our address without giggling :rotfl:
Decided not to go out to T at lunch. I'm not sure if I've lost my mojo, if I've spent too much over the last few days or if it's the grim weather making me want to stay indoors. If only work had a log fire in the office!0 -
Afternoon all! haven't posted in a while- probably too busy trying to fit all the dr oetker pizzas in my freezer! :rotfl: my OH is sick of them already and we have 9 still to go through...oops!
Hope everyone is well, this rain isn't welcomed today. The school run was awful walking 20 mins there and 15 mins home. Good job my umbrella was able to handle it today! x
Goals: Save £500 for emergencies, Save £200 of Amazon vouchers for Xmas, fix my holey clothes!

:hello:
Early start today (well, earlier - not exactly early:o:rotfl:) - I'm alright with the M list. Seemed easier than I thought - but I took the paper and pens so that's probably why. Virus scan check completed and dishes washed by the dishwasher whilst I was out - I'm learning - that's the way it should be done:D.
A little surprisingly perhaps, not as much expired in M - some offers ending next week, some the week after, and could they really be kinder to us by adding more offers to existing ones?:D Yes they can!:)
That said, there are a few off. Got my page divided into two columns: "On" and "Off", so for once I am actually organised and can give you a clear list, comprehensive as to everything off (possibly:(). I should be up with the technology and doing this electronically.
Dodging the security guard as I went:eek::eek:. I am sure he was following me in a number of different aisles and watching whether I would take anything from the shelves. M collection becoming more difficult and this is now my main source store:eek:. I think not to use this store on Wednesday but travel out to another store (this is quite obsessive:eek:) to give him the slip. I've seen him (and he's doubtless seen me) in there several times now: I bet he's wonder why I am going up every aisle and never buying anything. (What could I be doing I wonder?:D)
Perhaps I ought to have turned the tables on him, gone up to him and opened my bag: "Look, nothing there!":):rotfl: Perhaps I ought to give him the slip by being seen occasionally to buy something, rather than leaving the store empty-handed, although that would defeat the point of money-saving. Even with my lack of intelligence on anyone else's intentions, I detected he was keeping a bit of a watch on me. Not that I'm up to no good, as in shoplifting, but quite reasonably from his point of view as he's making sure I am not. I wish I knew what his facial expression was saying - though I never even noticed his facial expression at all or even at any point looked or became aware of anything there.
So, the following are off:
Tango and 7Up 6 cans packs - price increased to £3.19!:j Making them extra points items for "Match & More" versus T!
Coca Cola Life
Princes Salmon tin (now onto own brand 213g in twos)
Indian and Italian meals - Indian meals now £2.49:eek:, apart from everyday Chicken Tikka price £1.90
Pork Chops 630g- now £4:eek: and 3 for £10 (was £2)
Trebor Mints 4 pack (3 versions) - £1.59:j (so now Mvs T, just check T is still £1)
Trebor Soft Fruits £1.48, apparently N/A in T, so stop buying!
Pepperamis
Mullers - now 5:( for £3
Frijjs - £1.30:eek: (were 50p)
Young Kippers (apparently no longer on mbuy)
Young's Lighted Coated products gone up from £1.99 to £3.99 (but maybe Mvs A /M vs T items?)
Bernard Matthews Turkey Burgers and Golden Drummers, judging by the OOD sel:D.
Birds Eye Crispy Chicken 42
Aunt Bessie's Spotted !!!!!!
A suggestion that Aunt Bessie's Apple Pie off too - but then found a batch in an offer freezer round the corner with towards end of October expiry date?
Dr Oetker pizzas - now on some Goodfellas (not that they would be worth)
Wisdom Interdental Brushes - back to full price only £2.95 (no longer 2 for £3 it appears)
Johnsons Wipes - up to £2.99:eek:
Apparently the Elastoplast 40 Fabric too as they are £2.29 (weren't they £1.94 last time?)
Vanish Oxi Action 1Kg - now normal price £8.70:eek::eek:
The above OFF - and now maybe onto Mvs T some of them:T for those in the right M stores, spending £15 or more on M pricing and using the points card. Also needing to check the Savers Air Freshener now - M did a downsizing possibly about six months ago (maybe longer) yet kept the same price:(. But... :idea:now they match "and more", although the smaller size made them outside of the 10% weight range from A on the APG, it's within the 20% weight range (that applies to the M scheme) from A and T:rotfl:. However :(you lose the 10% you could have had on Avs T at same price, and just get a price match equivalent if anything at all (in other words, at best just an alteration down to reflect their downsizing rather than any further 10% off that) - hopefully we can now punish them for the downsizing (although they did remove the comparability for us from Avs M:( and meant no 10% off there and - even with the 'punishment' - we still couldn't get the 10% off so would be like buying in M at same price as A when Avs M would have been 10% lower (now not available) and Avs T still lower by volume, with the 10%).
Jucee 3L that T put down to £1.37 matching M:( is still £1.37 in M but I thought it would be.
As for what is going ON, I may as well revert my list back to what it was about 6 weeks ago:(:rotfl:. Tilda Rice back onto 79p, some of the Rajahs back down to 51p, Amira Superior and Pure Rice 1Kg both back at £2.14 - real coincidence these prices:rotfl::rotfl: - Sharwood's Poppadums - Original or Garlic & Corriander, back at 89p:rotfl: - Alysia Strawberry Trifle 461g back instore and back at £1.
They always seem to have a set price everywhere and most stuff usually goes on and off of that - occasionally the odd one goes down to a lower price for a rare occasion, for the odd week, as a loss leader and then it's stock up stock up!!:D:D:rotfl: It's all very scientific. Lots more that wasn't on offer six weeks ago - but going on offer now, back to their usual offer prices - don't literally copy my list from six weeks ago as it isn't the same as that!(:D:rotfl:) Some more Tvs M as well, including a couple of exciting new ones to reveal to you! M British Chicken Drumsticks 400g back at £1 (as a 'buy in M' I believe), good price per unit, although it may be able to beaten on other sizes elsewhere (maybe Sains., god forfend?).
In case we need it:D:D;) - Batchelor's Super Rices 100g on 4 for £2 (Beef or Chicken or, can I read my writing:think: - does that say "Chinese"?, or Golden Veg.) in case we need to use one as a trigger at some moment.
As for whether a glitch is likely... possibly not:(, given that the fruit and veg. mix and match combinations (that compare from A) aren't really there much this time, but, with lots of change off and on, there is more likely scope for the price collection to have caught them and be messed up in some ways a little more than usual. ("B"PB"V" Oranges are still 2 for £1.50 in M btw.) It is one of those days - so, everyone (not Northern Ireland sorry) wombling as much as possible on Tuesday.
As for the Bernard Matthews Turkey Burgers/Drummers and the Bird's Eye 42 Crispy Dippers, the SELs were OOD when I looked in the store I checked (say offer until 5/10/14) so I don't know what their price now is - £2.00 on the Burgers/Drummers and £4.25 on the Dippers by any chance?:D:D:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::(0 -
