Evening, not kept up with posting much this week, but been reading where I can.

I just wondered if anyone has had "free" solar panels fitted? I've been approved by them, and had A Shade Greener round tonight to do the paperwork. The guy was lovely, not pushy at all, and was more than happy to leave the paperwork with me rather than pushing for a decision today.

I get that the company make money from it, as any "left over" electricity generated is sold by them back to the grid. I'm fine with that, and still reckon I could make a lot of use out of it as I'm here a lot during the day.

What I'm struggling with is the 25 year lease thing, and once they are up, they can't be removed in that time. If I sold the house the lease would transfer to the new owner, but if they didn't want the panels it would be tough luck, there is no option to remove them before the 25 years.

Not sure whether I'm being over cautious and should just go for it?

This Sunday, Mail readers can claim a free portable mobile phone charger allegedly worth £10.99!

It's compatible with every major mobile phone and can be re-charged and re-used using a USB charging cable.

It's very handy when out and about.

To get your, purchase a copy of the Mail on Sunday on the 5th October.
