[1]:rotfl::rotfl: Nefty didn't "start" anything (notice my technical literalism again with the use of the quotation marks lol:rotfl:) - it was your post that got me replying:p:rotfl:. Yes, yours.:rotfl::rotfl:

I did notice that you'd been absence for a few days - it's not the case that I didn't even notice (as you know, really, nothing escapes my notice:rotfl:) - but am I expected when I come onto the thread - am I expected immediately to ask you how you are? - or even be here at the actual time you make your first return-to-the-thread post - I've been off and on this evening and only just come back in any event:rotfl::rotfl:.

I heard you had pneumonia - and glad to see you've recovered, as far as it appears anyway!:)

[2] I'm 'my usual self' btw at the moment.

Perhaps 'in between Morries price collections':o:rotfl:. I'm having 'a day in' tomorrow, not necessarily here, but hopefully chance to relax, NSD, and at the moment this evening - well, it's getting late so probably time to go to bed again:( - and nothing productive to achieve for the rest of tonight therefore - at the moment I'm not doing much - not having to, watching TV, like most people probably have a little later, probably not watching what they do but no problem with that - all finished, M list done for today, if something strikes, in a relaxing moment, I'll add it on but think that's already all done - so all settled, relaxed.:)

EDIT: :doh:I mustn't forget to ask how are you?

I'm a bit rubbish at stuff like this too :o Like recently OH called to say that someone had run into the back of him and my first reply was "How bad is the car?" He was most offended that I didn't ask how he was :D well it didn't occur to me because if he was injured badly he wouldn't have been able to call me would he. Also because people don't usually get injured from a minor shunt while driving in slow moving traffic. I was concerned about the car because that costs money whereas people heal for free. I'm not being selfish, I would equally prefer to sustain a short term injury to myself than have my car damaged :p

It is irritating having to remember all these polite things that people expect us to say, such as "how are you? "did you have a nice holiday?" "Are you feeling better?". People should just tell us these things if they want us to know. Then again I do like it when people show an interest in my life  Maybe they are right when people sometimes say I'm selfish :o

The one I really hate though is when people say "Hiya, are you alright?" I have to stop myself replying "No not really, I'm having a really stressful day and I don't feel well" because of course they don't want to hear that, therefore why ask in the first place?

    Good morning all :D

    Good morning everyone.
Thanks tm on the grey goose. Would make a few people very happy at xmas a a real treat purchase.

Just had call from my sister, she had to call gp out as dad was coughing up blood.
He is now in a cubicle at a &e waiting for a transfusion. Means he will miss his appointment at Addenbrookes tomorrow. Waiting to find out more in morning before deciding whether I am going straight back up there.
I noticed he coughed a couple of times yesterday but nothing out of the ordinary. A couple of years ago he had a tb scare so always coughs into a hanky now.
My sister has been dismissed (dad prefers to be alone) but she will be straight up there tomorrow to find out if he is to be discharged or not.
    V x

vanilla twist, sending you big (hugs), sounds like your going through an awful time. Take care xx
