    Morning :)

I have made one work related decision, I just need to wait till tomorrow to make the next one :o

    Oh the intrigue
  • Good morning all, the sun is fighting with the cloud here, hopefully it will win :D
The sad thing is it is not because of his independance it is simply that he doesn't want to see anyone at all. Had good visits this weekend when I went on my own to give my sister some time off but when we visited together he was very badly behaved.
I understand he feels terrible and now is having the burning leg pains but it is simple, he doesn't want to fill every last minute making memories for others he just wants to be left alone. Visits are twice a day lunch time and tea time and he dismisses us when we have done what is needed, usually half an hour.
it is our way of making sure he has not collapsed somewhere.
my aunt wanted to visit with her dgd who is off to australia for 3 years. Dad said he was not a circus sideshow and didn't want her to come.

This is how he feels nothing we can do to change this. As I said he is not a problem when I do visits but can play my sister up merry hell. Maybe because he can with her and knows I will not take any !!!!.

He is bitter that he does not have a wife by his side to help him through this but mum left 25 years ago. They are friends now after a 16 year silence. If anything he should take it out on me as I moved nearer to mum.

Saturday he should have been put on the naughty step it was that bad.

The strangest thing is he has always been very good at visiting sick relatives himself.

Sadest thing is it is his choice and we have vowed to accept letting him do it his way. It does hurt us but he is hurting more.

VT, I know exactly where you are coming from. When my mum was dying she did all she could to make everyone hate her, problem is she turned us all against each other too. When she went into hospital for the final time she knew she would not return home, but she made me promise not to visit her, the only problem was she also made me promise not to tell father about that promise. So he just thought I didn't want to see her, he never ever forgave me for it, and as time went on I simply could not tell him about the promise.

Whatever he wants you have to consider those he will leave behind, do not let any bitterness form.

I so want that wine rack:eek: I am beginning to think I have one of the smallest ones here, even though I could fill one twice the size with all the boxes of bottles around it:eek:
