    1 x Greenall's London Dry Gin (700ml) £17.50 £13.00

    1 x Dow's Quinta do Bomfim Vintage Port (750ml) £27.50 £27.50

So pleased my CC shop worked:T needed to use up some e vouchers:)

Paid £12 for gin and £13.75 for the port as both reduced in store.

This is my port for Christmas Day but so tempted to get another one to give as a special present.

Evening! I'm sitting here tucked up in bed all cosy and warm. First day was good I think....I mean I got stuff started and made some headway but it's tricky not having that feedback you get from colleagues. I've had some nice things said over email but it's all a bit bizarre! I'm sure I'll get used to it.

One thing I am somewhat confused about is (and I was going to go to the bank to discuss tomorrow) they mentioned they might pay me in Canadian dollars direct to my bank. I've never been paid in anything other than pounds before- can I lose out this way? Would be lovely if anyone here has any insight into this.

If you have the wrong account and don't inform your bank it would certainly cost you :( They may ask you to change your account to a fee paying one or something like that, may well be worth it for the duration.

  • ilovetoshop - thank you so much for the info about the delivery saver. Funnily enough I had taken out the midweek plan just yesterday, using the code someone linked to on here.

I got a letter through today and it was in my recycling pile, but just used it on my other tesco account to get a free anytime plan, and have phoned tesco and cancelled the one I took out yesterday and will be getting a refund.

In a couple of days I'll ring again to make sure this doesn't go on auto renew, as I think you can do that over the phone? Am well chuffed to get this for free (although saying that, there is a £2 pending charge on my american express card for delivery saver for today, so be interesting to see if that actually goes out or not).
