I'm down to single figures of some things. I made the mistake of saying to my mum that she could take a few bits and pieces while I was in hospital and she was looking after DS.
DS told me that she was going in and lifting bits for the rest of the family too, just as well she didn't go into the cupboard under the stairs otherwise I wouldn't have had any tinned food, rice, pasta, cereal or cereal bars. She took quite a bit for other people, I wouldn't have minded if she'd asked but I went back to cupboards with just 1, 2 or 3 of each left instead of the 8 of each that I always kept in there..
At the time I'd lost my short term memory (it's still rubbish at the minute :rotfl:) so I'd forgot I had stuff under the stairs, I cried for hours over the amount of money it would take to restock even just enough to do us for a month let alone the years supply I had. Thankfully DS asked what was wrong and showed me the stuff he'd covered so my mum wouldn't go looking any further under the stairs. He knew how upset I would have been, he'd told my mum not to take any more. He's a great boy xx
Oh that's awful SpiralingDown. I don't understand how anyone could just take your stuff like that, especially family! That's horrible.
Even if it didn't cost much in real money, it still took you time and effort to get those things?
Lovely that your DS thought to cover your other stuff. What a thoughtful young man. xxx"I expect to pass through this world but once. I know that feeling so, so well. My brother and his girlfriend stayed here while I was on holiday. I told them, as you would to anyone staying in your house, to help themselves. Oh boy, did they help themselves
Pasta, my bubbs beef joints, loads of chicken and fish, washing up liquid, shower gel, shampoo, tomato sauce that I made last year, pizza and even ambrosia  both of my freezers were full when I left and were both only about a third full when we got back.
And that's without the stains they left on my new sofa, splash marks on my hallway wall, fridge and freezer, dried cola stains on top and underneath my fridge, cola stains on one of the beds and bedside tables, melted serving spoon, broken tongs, filthy "washing up" and an underweight cat :mad:
I swear they took loads of stuff home with them. I'm never having them in my house again, let alone to stay while I'm not here. It's cost me a fortune to restock and I've still not replaced everything

I suspect if we go back to then, wondering whether they have always been 250g or whether that is a lower weight than it was back then?:rotfl:
I don't know - I'm trying to find them on the net (hopefully the internet never forgets:D) but would need to know original weight it seems in order to retrieve it - how can I know that when that is the information I am missing and am looking for? I can only, up to now, find 250g but I'll keep looking for a short time.

OMG Queen of Cheap, that is horrible! Some people really do take the mick!!!
I would be really peed off if someone behaved like that in my house."I expect to pass through this world but once. Any good, therefore, that I can do or any kindness I can show to any fellow creature, let me do it now. Let me not defer or neglect it for I shall not pass this way again."

He's stayed here before with no trouble at all. She comes along all greedy and jealous and ransacks my hard earned stashes
because she's so incapable of holding down a job, she sees everything I've got and wants it for herself without having to work for it so she just took it.
