My letter says it needs to be paid by Oct, I better get a move on?

If I dispute it, can I get a bit more time?

If I still havent got everything together for my DRO by the deadline, what will happen?
  • Yes, you should get a move on. Going to National Debtline is often the fastest option as it can all be handled over the phone. Citizens Advice is a bit more random as you may need to see a generalist advisor first who will then refer you to a debt specialist.

Unless you have geneuine grounds for disputing it, I wouldn't bother. It will take a few weeks before HMRC starts taking other enforcement action.

I would also recommend step change they were very good with me!
  • It is hard to include all debts, if I miss any will they show up on my credit file later?

I mean if they are not showing up now, then it doesnt matter if they are not included in the DRO?

You need to include all your debts, ones that are on your credit file and other ones that you know of that may not be showing on your credit file. Hope that helps.
