typical, I just bought one from play.com - a belkin one.

I got a Extra near me, though I cant get there till weekend as working away from home :(

    Hopefully some left.

How is the reception, does it pick up signals well?

    what make/model is it?

Don't spend five pounds to dry clean a shirt. Donate it to the charity shop instead. They'll clean it and put it on a hanger. Next morning buy it back for two pounds.

Just to be clear..... My understanding is that this offer is referring to the Wireless AP, as in the box.. and not a USB wifi card...

Is this what you mean when you say you want to take it abroad, or do you mean you need the ability for your PC to operate over wifi?
Forgive me if you meant what you said....
As in you are going to a remote house, which has an internet connection but doesn't currently transmit over Wifi.....
If you mean you're going to a town/city/hotel then of course if your PC already receives has Wifi, then you won't need anything else, other than the settings when you get there, unless it's simply an open network....

I.E I only take my PC abroad with me.....

Apols if you said what you meant and I've got wrong end of stick, or worse only succeeded in confusing you even more....

I am going abroad and aprtment has wireless connection but I need cable connecters (RJ45 and RJ11??)
As you can prob tell I am not a tech expert - just wanted my laptop so I access internet if I get bored !!

    Just ignore my post LOL!!

No, you're fine...... The apartment has wireless so you all you need is a wireless USB...... Are you sure you're PC doesn't already have an inbuilt card... If it's bought within the past couple of years 18months then I suspect it does.....
If it doesn't have one then you need something like the two illustrated at the bottom of this Tesco page NOT The two box like things at the top of the page.
The box plug into your internet connection in the house..... This transmits the signals
The 'card' or USB device at the bottom of the page, goes in the PC and receives the signal..... Hence wireless...
If you PC doesn't already have wifi, then take a card/usb device abroad and not the Box...
If this Tesco post is about the card then 5 quid is okay... Zillions of them on ebay, if it's about the box then 5 quid is very cheap, although 20 is not bad for starters....
