Is there a place in Wales called something like Cleagues
Options
A bit of an odd request for help I know
I am tracing my family tree and made some notes when I was a teenager about my GGGrandparents. My notes are not great and I wrote that my GGGfather, a Richard Jones b1856 was born in Liverpool but lived in Wales in a place called Cleages or Cleagues, where he also went to Grammar school. I have never heard of it and googling doesn't bring up anything similar. I imagine it was North Wales, and it could be that the grammar school was called Cleagues rather than the place.
I know it is high hopes, but any suggestions as to what the place may be would be gratefully received. That was I can start with the census info again. My great Aunt, who gave me the info, sadly isn't with us any more for me to check.
Anway, thanks in advance

genunki.org.uk might be of use.
"Cleagues" could be Clug or Llug, it would be unusual to have a place name ending in s, if it was passed on by word of mouth it could have been used in an affectionate way with the s added? Llug seems more likely to me.Torgwen.....................
